How Music Changed Her Life
Local American woman gets noticed because of her stunning voice, but has been through a rocky past. Becca Foister’s first hot goes straight to number one! We interview her from her recording studio ____________________ in ______________. Here’s how the interview went.
How do you feel about your first hit going straight to number one?
I feel shocked and quite excited about my first single hitting that number one spot.
How did you first get into music?
Music has always been a part of my life, I always used to be first to audition for school plays when I was younger. I used to love the experience of singing in front of parents.
How does this differ from you performing now?
When I perform now in get kind of nervous as there is a much bigger audience and it for real and not some little school play.
Has your life at home changed at all?
My life at home has changed dramatically as before we weren’t the wealthiest family.
Do your family support everything you are doing now that you are involved in the music business?
My family will always support me no matter what I do they except me for who I am.
How did you feel when you got signed to a recording company?
I was amazed when they rang me and said that they had seen me perform at a little ‘battle of the bands’ charity, I didn’t even know that their were going to be spectators there watching. When they asked me to join their label I was stunned, I couldn’t even put the feeling into words.
Did you think that fame would change your life?
I didn’t think that fame would have changed my life and so far it hasn’t. I wouldn’t want it to, I think that my life is perfect how it is.
Are you currently in a relationship?
Yes I am currently in a relationship, I have been for 2 years now and I wouldn’t change him for the world.
Before you got signed to a label where did you think that your singing was going to end up?
I didn’t think that it was going to get me anywhere apart from the odd little charity performance, I just classed it as a hobby of mine.
Did you have a job before you became famous?
Yes I did have a job, which I loved, I worked at a local accounting agency.
What made you start singing to begin with?
I started singing as it was always a passion of mine, I first started singing when I was about 5.
Since starting so young, did you have any vocal or singing lessons?
I wanted to have singing lessons but my parents couldn’t afford it, but I think my singing has come a long way since I was 5.
What is your biggest fear?
Now my biggest fear is losing everything I have, I mean with becoming famous and how long it has taken me to get there, but most of all it would be losing my family and my boyfriend.
What did you and your family have to go through?
Well at the beginning when I was very young my family didn’t exactly have a lot of money. And we went through some rough times like losing some of the little amount of stuff we owned to bailiffs etc. as me and my sister grew older we found it harder as people picked on us because we wore different clothes to them and we didn’t have nice things like they did. I wouldn’t have changed anything though as there were people a lot worse off than my family.
If you could go back and changed anything what would it be?
I don’t think I would change anything as I love my life the way it is. I mean if I changed things that happened in the past I wouldn’t be where I am today, all I want to do is forget about the bad times and move on.
Have you learnt from your past?
Yes I have, I am even setting up a charity for those families who aren’t fortunate enough to have nice things. This is a charity were you can donate clothes, toys anything really just to help people get through the rough patches.
So your past has really affected you?
Yes I has, it’s changed my views on everything.
So are you glad that you got notice and this has helped you achieve what you wanted to do?
Yes I am very glad, I mean out of everyone else they noticed me and now I can help those less fortunate.
It says that you have an upcoming album, this will be your first album release?
Yes it gets released next Monday, I am so excited to see what my fans think of it.
Any upcoming tours?
Well there might been im not sure when or were yet but I would really like to travel the world.
