2) How does your media product represent particular social groups?
I think that my magazine outlines the average teenager. I think this most links to individulists as they like all kinds of music and they are not fussy. I think that individual is the best way to describe my magazine as the images look natural and not quite like what you would see in a magazine as i didnt want to make them look 'perfect' as this would be setting out the wrong impression to younger teenagers. To be able to buy this type of magazine you wouldnt have to belong to any type of group as i feel that these images relate to all types of teenagers as it is aimed at all different types of music. I feel that this is the type of magazine were anything goes and anyone can buy it. I like the way that most of it links and has the same set theme of individuality this really helps get over that you dont have to be from a certain group or come from a certain background to buy this magazine. I think that 35% of the magazine should be advertising what teenagers like and what they would be intrested in therefore making them want to buy that particular product which promotes the product itself. I think that teenagers will like my magazine as it is not stereotypical it goes with whats in and what teenagers want to read. The font title of my magazine really relates to the way that teenagers are, it being bold, bright and bubbly. The age range for this magazine is 13-15 year olds. I feel that the images also really relate to teenagers as the models are dressed in casual everyday clothing and the image is shot up close so it creates a real personal feel to it. Also the colours used for the whole magazine theme really relate to a feminine target audience.

I thought your magazine was targeting younger teenagers. I thought that was the reason for the bubbly writing and the unthreatening feel of the magazine? If so then you should say that, particularly for your target audience answers. That would also enable you to discuss the way that you have represented femininity in this image as being rather warm and friendly and unthreatening, for example through the use of the camera angle, the close-up which encourages identification, and the relaxed clothing. I would do this because then you have got some things to say specifically about the reasons for your representation.
